1. Hello to friends, fans, and family wherever you are. I'm writing this newsletter from 35,000 feet in the air on a Lufthansa flight to Germany! October is here and the big European tour with Al Stewart is about to begin. I look forward to reconnecting with some of you in Holland and Germany in the coming months. For the most detailed information on the tour, see my European site, www.davenach.eu . It's been a strange couple of months since the last newsletter. There was a great Nachmanoff family reunion, the successful release of my brother Jeffrey's movie, 'Traitor,' the loss of a dear friend of ours in August, a Northwest tour with Al Stewart, some wonderful house concerts in California and Washington, and lots of studio work.

2. The European tour is going to be very busy, with 27 shows in Holland and Germany, all in six weeks. Al and I will be playing a live radio show in Holland on October 4th at 4pm (local time) which you can tune into via Internet from anywhere in the world! Just follow the link from http://davenach.eu/1.html . I will be doing one solo show on Holloween night (October 31st) in Bad Honnef, Germany (near Bonn). Tickets must be purchased in advance, as seating is limited, and will be available either online (http://davenach.eu/4.html ) or at the European shows. If time allows, I will be keeping a tour blog, possibly even a video blog, which we will post at davenach.eu.

3. There will be a feature article about me in the upcoming issue of Flatpicking Guitar Magazine (www.flatpick.com ) which will include a tablature version of my song 'Midnight Sea' from 'Time Before the Fall.' It is a great magazine for any of you who play guitar, as it has lots of instructional material, as well as tabs, recordings and articles.

4. I have just released an instrumental dance single (no not 'Joe The Georgian') on iTunes! It's a cover of a very well known song but I will let you discover for yourself which one. The producer (Jeff McCullough) did a fantastic job, and for less than a buck you can download it, carry it around in your iPod, and play it at your next party. Let me know what you think. Here's the link .

5. If you haven't checked in lately, there are quite a few new video clips on both the 'Extras' and the YouTube sites (www.davenachextras.com ). Some people have mentioned difficulty in getting into the Extras site, particularly using Internet Explorer. I am told that it helps to lower your security settings temporarily. If you want to help spread the word about my music, please do feel free to send people to the Myspace site, the Facebook site, or send them links to the clips on YouTube. Thanks!

6. As many of you know, I write and record custom songs for people. I have had some interesting and fun projects in the last few months. Last year a friend from the UK hired me to record a song written by his good friend Ray Butler, which he planned to give to Ray as a Christmas surprise. It was a stirring historical song about Lord Nelson, and it recently made the semi-finals of a national songwriting contest in the UK! Hooray for Ray! To hear his song go to the Music Clips part of my US site www.davenach.com/music.html . For an article about Ray and the song, visit http://davenach.eu/8.html.

7. Whether or not we'll meet up at any of my upcoming concerts and workshops, I like to hear your thoughts and comments and suggestions and general news. Please respond to this e-mail, or e-mail me directly (dave (at)davenach.com) or call me at +1 (530) 757-1021, or use postal mail to P.O. Box 4111, Davis, CA 95617, USA.

THANKS! I HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON!

Dave
